A rising star in the local rodeo scene was killed over the weekend during a rodeo in Leesville.
According to a report from KADN, the Cajun Rodeo Association said Clay LeBlanc, 23, was ranked number two in the entire association and had a promising future.
LeBlanc was known as a talented saddle bronc rider, a true cowboy, which makes this loss even harder to comprehend - a rodeo family member that kept everyone uplifted.
Many said his legacy will run deep. His rodeo friends said they hope to have a special memorial for LeBlanc at the next rodeo in Jennings in September.
