The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas has announced that a Polk County drug dealer has received a lengthy sentence in federal prison.
According to U.S. Attorney Brit Featherston, 54-year-old Paul Michael Olver was sentenced to 19 years and 6 months behind bars by U.S. District Judge Thad Heartfield on Wednesday.
Featherston said Oliver pleaded guilty to a charge of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. This followed his arrest in November of 2020 at his home on a parole violation warrant.
According to Featherston, during the arrest Oliver tried to conceal a bag containing 684 grams of meth. Also, in the house Featherston said officers found drug paraphernalia, scales, and multiple clear plastic baggies for distribution of meth.
