Public hearings were held before the meeting regarding amending water connections, taps, and meter fees and rezoning a location for commercial use for a snack shack and snowball stand.
Monthly bills were presented as $35,406.43. The city is 12 months into the fiscal year and should be recording 100%. Collected revenue is at 101% and expenditures are at 90%.
Pay requests were received for $6,497.50 for the 4th and Maggie Street Improvement Project and $6,264 total for the Leesville DWRLF Water Improvement Project.
Chris Fox updated the Council that a water line behind Brown's Furniture was damaged. He estimated $2,700, the City will take care of the repairs.
The Leesville Golf Course presented Leesville Fire Department with $3,760 from their recent tournament.
Philip Hunt was elected as Mayor Pro Tempore.

The Council authorized the City of Leesville to commit to cover all costs over State funds including a minimum of $86,419.41 of construction funds for the base bid for the 2022 Street Rehabilitation and Extension Project.
The council appointed Jessica Herring to the Planning and Zoning committee.
Leesville Police, VPSO, will hold a National Nite Out event at the Forestry Festival Fair Grounds from 5-7 Tuesday August 2.
