LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Four suspects are behind bars after being seen on camera breaking into vehicles in a Lake Charles casino parking lot, authorities say.
Calcasieu Parish sheriff’s deputies responded to reported break-ins in a casino parking lot around 3 a.m. Friday, CPSO spokesperson Kayla Vincent said. They found an SUV in the parking lot containing four people who matched the description of the suspects.
Deputies arrested Jamarcus D. Green, 20; Ladarius D. Demouchet, 19; Ladarien P. Demouchet, 17; and Kebba K. Verdin, 29; all of Lafayette.
In the SUV, deputies found a pill bottle that had been stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot, along with suspected marijuana, meth, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and two pistols, one of which was modified with a fully automatic switch, Vincent said.
All four suspects are facing drug and firearm charges. Green and both Demouchets are also facing theft charges.
Green and Ladarius Demouchet are each facing a count of simple burglary. Their bonds are set at $169,000 and $168,000, respectively.
Ladarien Demouchet faces a charge of possession of a handgun by a juvenile. His bond is set at $144,000.
Verdin faces an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bond is set at $234,000.
