Louisiana State Police say troopers this week are looking for traffic violations committed by commercial vehicle drivers. According to the state law enforcement agency, troopers in the department’s Transportation Safety Services section are participating in the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance Operation Safe Driver. Louisiana State Police officials say the goal is to reduce the number of deaths and injuries resulting from crashes involving commercial vehicles, and troopers will be looking for a variety of traffic violations. The operation began on Monday, July 10th and continues through Sunday, July 16th.
