Kirbyville Minor Softball Falls to Rockport, Takes 3rd Place at State Tournament

Kirbyville Minor Softball took to the field against the Rockport-Fulton Minors on Monday, July 15, in the Texas East State Tournament. Despite a strong effort, Kirbyville fell to Rockport-Fulton with a score of 8-0 in the opening game. In game two, Kirbyville rallied back with a convincing 7-1 victory against East End, showing their resilience and determination. However, the momentum from their second-game win wasn't enough to carry them through their next matchup. Kirbyville faced Rockport-Fulton again and was defeated 8-0. Rockport's pitcher delivered a stellar performance, striking out nine Kirbyville batters, walking three, and allowing only four hits over six innings. Maura Moss, Hannah Urzendowski, Luna Claro, Ella Diaz and Lilly Kelley each managed hits but were unable to score any runs. Kirbyville Minor Softball concluded their season with a commendable 3rd place finish at the Texas East State Tournament.
