Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard says an arrest was made late Wednesday afternoon for the burglary of a north Jasper County business and a residential burglary. According to Havard, one of the crimes occurred in April of last year at Deep Woods Novelty and Smoke Shop on Highway 96 in Brookeland. Havard says the suspect is a juvenile and he was taken into custody by Investigator Calvin Starkie. According to Havard, the juvenile will be charged with Burglary of a Habitation and Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Another Felony. The identity of the suspect has not been released due to his age.
