SAN AUGUSTINE, Texas (KTRE) - Officers responded to reports of two people shooting at each other near a convenience store early Saturday afternoon, according to the San Augustine Police Department.
The SAPD said they responded to reports of shots fired near a Texaco convenience store on Martin Luther King Drive. Witnesses told police two individuals pulled up near one another and began exchanging gunfire, according to a statement from the department.
According to the SAPD, witness accounts and information obtained through an early investigation identified the two individuals believed to be involved. One of the subjects, a juvenile, was later located and arrested on an unrelated warrant.
The SAPD said they do not believe there is any ongoing danger to the public and encourage anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the San Augustine Police Department at (936) 275-2384.
