Sabine County Sheriff Tom Maddox says that a Jeep, a 4-wheeler, and a power saw that were stolen from a Brookeland residence in Sabine County were recovered a short distance away on Tuesday morning.
According to Maddox, the Jeep and power saw were owned by Gene Williams, and the ATV belonged to someone else, but was at Williams’ house.
Jasper County Sheriff Mitchel Newman said that his deputies assisted with the recovery, which was made just inside the Sabine County line.
Sheriff Maddox said the case was investigated by Sergeant Leon Miller who has identified a suspect and arrest warrants have been issued.
