State Trooper and Jasper resident Shana Neel Clark has a new rank and a new title. The Texas Department of Public Safety announced Thursday that Shana has been promoted to Sergeant, and also that she is the new Media and Communications Sergeant for the Beaumont area.
Shana grew up in Jasper and is a Jasper High School graduate. She later graduated from the DPS Academy Class of 2007.
In the spring of 2020, Shana bested 127 other female troopers to win the women’s division of the 9th Annual Javier Arana, Jr. Top Trooper Competition in Austin.
Shana takes the place of Sergeant Stephanie Davis, who retired earlier in the year.
