Jasper Police are seeking a suspect in connection with an armed robbery that is reported to have occurred overnight at the JOC Stop Convenience Store at 645 South Wheeler Street. Officers were dispatched to the location near the intersection of Wheeler and Othello Streets shortly after midnight on Monday morning when the clerk reported that a man had entered the store with a handgun and demanded cash. Police say the suspect who was only described as a black male wearing all black clothes and a hoodie was last seen leaving the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money in hand. Police say another man may have been involved and waiting outside. However, no other details are available at this time.
