Jasper Police Chief Gerald Hall has retired after more than three decades of service. A retirement party was held in his honor on Tuesday afternoon in the Jasper Fire Hall. The event was attended by Hall’s colleagues, family, and friends, and he was presented with plaques of appreciation and other memorabilia. A very emotional moment came when Chief Hall went “10-42” (out of service) for the last time, and the dispatcher on duty read prepared remarks that thanked him for his service.
