Jasper Police have reportedly arrested three suspects and are currently looking for a 4th in connection with an aggravated robbery that is alleged to have occurred in early May at a home on Shady Lane.
Captain Terry Patrick said the arrests came after officers investigating the incident obtained evidence that led to the identify of suspects and also warrants for their arrest.
According to Patrick, the first arrest was made shortly after 10:00 on Wednesday morning when a warrant was served on a teenaged boy at the Timbers Apartments in the 800 block of West Gibson Street across from Walmart. However, the name of the suspect has not been released due to his age.
Patrick said that after learning that a suspect had been arrested in the case or that police were out seeking suspects, two other men wanted in connection with the crime turned themselves in at the Jasper County Sheriff's Department a short time later.
The suspects jailed have only been identified as two males, one 17 and the other 18, from the local area. However, their names have also not been released pending formal charges and arraignment.
Patrick said all four are accused of Aggravated Robbery.
