ROGANVILLE, Texas (KTRE) - The suspect the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office was looking for after a violent disturbance on Wednesday morning has been detained.
He has been identified as Jerad Edward Green, 29, and was taken into custody at a residence on Dorgan Drive in Jasper, according to the sheriff’s office. He was arrested on a charge of aggravated robbery, and other charges are being investigated.
The sheriff said Green assaulted someone and fled the area on Wednesday morning.
According to Sheriff Chuck Havard, at approximately 10:09 a.m., the sheriff’s office received a 911 call about a disturbance on County Road 451 in the Roganville area.
When deputies arrived they found a victim who needed medical attention. EMS was requested, and the victim was taken to a Beaumont hospital for treatment. Havard did not say what kind of injuries the victim had.
This incident remains under investigation.
Witnesses to the disturbance described the suspect as a heavy-set, bald white male, approximately 5′7″ to 5′9″ feet tall, in his late 20s to early 30s. The suspect was last seen wearing a brown shirt and blue jeans. His direction of travel is unknown.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office advises residents and drivers to use caution and be aware of anyone requesting a ride.
