JACKSONVILLE, Texas (KLTV) - The Jacksonville Police Department says a man was arrested after a standoff with law enforcement on Tuesday.
Police responded to the 200 block of Ivy Street where a man reportedly fired three rounds at his neighbor’s home. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, police say.
Police secured the area and requested assistance from the Cherokee County SWAT Team. The SWAT team, comprised of personnel from the Jacksonville Police Department and Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, responded promptly to the scene after the subject barricaded himself inside his home.
After about an hour of tactical callouts, the man, identified by police as Isaias Mena Sandoval, 24, of Jacksonville, was taken into custody without further incident.
A search warrant for the residence will be issued, police say, and additional charges may be filed pending the outcome of the investigation.
