Deputies with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for aggravated assault after he allegedly shot a woman Monday morning.
Justin Smith was arrested and charged with first-degree felony aggravated assault. No bond amount has been set for his charge yet.
Chief Deputy G.P. Shearer with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office said that Smith was taken into custody after he shot the woman. The shooting incident occurred in the Latexo area.
The victim was airlifted to UT Health Tyler for treatment of her injury or injuries.
