Hardin County man convicted and sentenced for child sex crimes

Archived as originally published. Information reflects the date of this article.

A Hardin County man has been sentenced to 20 years in state prison after he was convicted on two child sex crime charges involving the same victim who was under 6 years of age. Justin Lee Sticker, 26, of Kountze, was convicted on a charge of Sexual Assault of a Child with a 20-year sentence, and Indecency with a Child with a 10-year sentence. The sentences will run concurrently. Prosecutors say the crimes occurred in March of 2018. State District Judge Steven Thomas presided over the bench trial, which means there was no jury and instead the judge decided innocence or guilt and also imposed the sentencing.
