TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Funeral services have been announced for a Wood County deputy who died this week.
Wood County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Melissa Pollard died following a wreck at the intersection of FM 14 and Highway 37 on Wednesday. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 16 at 10 a.m. It will be at Green Acres Baptist Church, located at 1607 Troup Highway in Tyler.
Also, Origin Bank has opened an account to help Pollard’s family navigate their loss. Donations can be made at any Origins Bank location by telling the bank staff that you are donating to the Melissa Pollard Memorial.
Flags in Wood County were ordered to be flown at half-staff until after Pollard’s services.
