The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department says a man who was wanted for child sex crimes in San Augustine County and had been a fugitive from justice was arrested here in Jasper County.
According to the report, on Monday 72-year-old Sim Able, Jr. was at the Jasper County Sub-Courthouse in Buna and it was learned that he was named in felony warrants for one count of Indecency with a Child-Exposure, and two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.
Able was taken to the Jasper County Jail where he’ll wait for extradition back to San Augustine County.
