Officials at Fort Johnson (formerly Fort Polk) say that they are exploding fifteen 250 pound bombs.
The explosions will occur each day through Sunday, May 4th, and the explosion sounds could be heard as far away as Newton County.
The detonation of the bombs is occurring on the test range of the Army base.
