The volunteers of the Jasper Fire Department were dispatched to the Timber Ridge Nursing Home in the 300 block of West Gibson Street shortly after 2:00 on Monday morning when a smell of smoke was in the building and a fire alarm was sounding.
Firemen arrived at the scene and soon determined the smoke was coming from dust inside the furnace.
No fire or injury resulted from the incident.
