The Beauregard Daily News is reporting that improvements will be coming to the airports in both DeRidder and Leesville.
According to the report, U.S. Representative Mike Johnson has announced that grants totaling $299,989.00 from the U.S. Department of Transportation has been approved for the projects.
The report said that the Beauregard Regional Airport in DeRidder will receive $226,507.00, which will be used for rehabilitation of the facility’s apron.
Meanwhile, 20 miles to the north is the Leesville City Airport. That facility will receive $73,482.00, which will be used for taxiway construction.
