Family Identifies Tyler County House Fire Victims

Archived as originally published. Information reflects the date of this article.

The family of the victims in a deadly early Tuesday morning house fire in Tyler County have identified the victims, and also established Go-Fund-Me pages in an effort to help with funeral and hospitalization expenses.

The family has identified the dead as Jacob Robert Jones and his 15-month-old son, Jacob Joshua. Meanwhile, the family says that the mother, Amber, is currently in very critical condition in a Galveston burn unit, while the couple’s 3-year-old daughter, Raelynn, was unharmed and is with family members.

Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford said the fire broke out at about 4:00 on County Road 1400 in the Warren Community. The blaze gutted the mobile home that the family lived in.

On Wednesday, the remains of the house was wrapped in tarps in an effort to preserve any evidence as investigators from the Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office search for clues as to what may have caused the fire.
