The Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Department says an explosion and fire occurred late Monday night at an oil well site in the Etoile area. It happened shortly after 11:00 and reports say the flames could be seen for miles around.
Fortunately no injuries were reported. Meanwhile, residents in the immediate area were evacuated until the fire could be extinguished.
The cause of the explosion and fire is under investigation.
