About 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019, Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 100 Block of Chester West Road in Elizabeth, LA in reference to a deceased male who was later identified as 81 year old Sherwood Emanuel Doyle.
Foul play was suspected and an investigation of the residence was started by Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators.
Kristina Nichole Hoffpauir, 31, of Elizabeth, was an acquaintance of Doyle, and was identified as a suspect.
The investigation allowed detectives to develop sufficient probable cause and a warrant was granted for Hoffpauir’s arrest. Hoffpauir was transported and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on charges of First Degree Murder.
Hoffpauir remains in the Detention Center in lieu of posting a $500,000.00 bond.
