Firemen say no one was injured on Friday evening when an 18-wheeler left Highway 190 and went into the woods. The volunteers of the Beech Grove Fire Department were dispatched to the location just east of Dam B shortly before 10:00 when it was reported that the crash had occurred. Officers said the truck, owned and operated by Keck Logistics of La Vernia, Texas, was headed east when the accident occurred. The driver was not injured, but it took several hours of work in the late night hours and again on Saturday morning to remove the vehicle which was stuck in deep mud. The job was handled by TNT Wrecker Service out of Beaumont which brought in a heavy-duty wrecker capable of towing 5o tons of load.
