Earl Pearce Retires

Sheriff Aaron Mitchell announces the retirement of Deputy Earl Pearce. A reception was held in Pearce's honor on Friday afternoon, September 13, 2024, at the Sabine Parish Courthouse. Deputy Pearce started his law enforcement career in 1993 as a Reserve Deputy under the late Sheriff Alfice Brumley. Deputy Pearce enrolled full time as a Patrol Deputy in 2002 under Sheriff Guffey Lynn Pattison. Pearce attained the rank of Patrol Sergeant in 2013 under Sheriff Ronny Richardson. Deputy Pearce earned the rank of Lieutenant over the Reserve Division and became the department's Public Relations Deputy when Sheriff Mitchell took over in 2020. Many of Deputy Pearce's former and current co-workers, family, and friends attended the ceremony in his honor. Sheriff Mitchell thanked Deputy Pearce for his many years of dedication to the Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office and serving the citizens of Sabine Parish. Enjoy your retirement; we will miss you.
