A man who was driving drunk and killed two men and a child in Hardin County earlier this year has learned his fate. After pleading guilty to three counts of Intoxication Manslaughter and one count of Intoxication Assault, State District Judge Steve Thomas has handed down a 40 year prison sentence to 51-year-old Silsbee resident Brenon James Proulx. The crash occurred February 2nd on Farm to Market Road 327 between Kountze and Silsbee. State troopers said Proulx was driving a 2006 Saturn car and he crossed the center line and collided with two motorcycles. Killed in the crash were James Means, his 12-year-old daughter, Cici Means, and Allen Wesenberg. Injured was Wesenberg’s 7-year-old son who suffered a broken leg.
