A woman was seriously injured in a Saturday evening crash in the Peachtree Community. It happened shortly after 7:00 on Highway 63 West, just east of Farm to Market Road 254.
A state trooper said the woman was driving a late model Toyota Tacoma pickup truck westbound when she crossed the eastbound lane and went off the roadway, struck a culvert, and the truck landed upside-down.
Firefighters from the Angelina River and Jasper Fire Departments worked for about 30 minutes to get the woman out of the truck. She was then flown from the scene by a medical helicopter to a hospital.
