The driver of a pickup truck was killed in a crash with an 18-wheeler in Jefferson County early Friday morning. It happened shortly after 4:00 on Highway 90 at Farm to Market Road 365 in Nome, which is 12 miles west of Beaumont.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says the driver of the pickup truck was northbound on FM 365 and ran a red light and hit the side of the 18-wheelker which was westbound on Highway 90.
The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
