PRINCETON, La. -- A woman died and two passengers were injured Monday night when the driver drove into a house in a Bossier Parish neighborhood, state police said Tuesday in a news release. Troopers said the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on Chalmette Loop new Creole Circle. Maria Lopez, 35, of Shreveport, was driving north on Chalmette Loop when she ran off the road and hit the house. Lopez, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene. Two passengers -- one in the front seat and a 15-year-old in the back seat -- received minor injuries. One was taken to the hospital and the other was treated at the scene. One person who was inside the house was not injured.
