A man who was already named in arrest warrants has been arrested after he was accused of leaving the scene of a deadly hit-and-run in Beaumont. Police say it happened shortly after 4:00 Sunday morning on College Street, about a mile west of Interstate 10. According to police, 67-year-old Michael Brown was pushing a cart on the street when he was struck and killed by a westbound Mazda car. Police say they found the car and arrested the driver a short time later at a nearby motel. His name has not yet been released. Police say he’ll be charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid, in addition to the charges on his arrest warrants.
