DERIDDER, La. (KPLC) - A DeRidder man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday. Around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, Louisiana State Police Troop D responded to a deadly crash on Robert Clark Road west of Gambrell Church Road, according to Public Affairs Trooper Matt Gaspard. The crash claimed the life of 31-year-old Jaydan Paul Templet of DeRidder. For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and exited the roadway to the right, Gaspard said. The vehicle then traveled down an embankment and into a creek where it overturned. Templet, who was properly restrained at the time of the crash, received fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene, Gaspard said. The crash remains under investigation.
