Jasper County deputies are trying to confirm a Sabine County woman’s story after her vehicle was found in a wooded area late Thursday morning.
According to Jasper County Sheriff Mitchel Newman, the 2004 Chevrolet van was found in the woods off of County Road 323, which is between Beech Grove and Magnolia Springs.
Inside the van, Newman said the woman’s identification and other personal effects were found. When deputies made contact with her, Newman said she claimed that someone put something in her drink, and then she walked away from the van until she was found by a game warden who dropped her off at a hospital.
According to Newman his deputies are trying to determine if any of that is true.
The name of the woman has not been released.
