CUSHING, Texas (KTRE) - School is closed in Cushing ISD for the remainder of the semester.
According to Superintendent James Sanders, many of the district’s students and staff are sick. The decision has been made “in the best interest of the health and safety of our students and staff,” to cancel school on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
Excelsior ISD announced that they will also close for the remainder of the semester due to illness.
