Newton County Precinct 2 Commissioner Phillip White announced Thursday that County Road 1022, from Jamestown to Highway 190, will be closed down for a maintenance job. White says the road will be shut down as of midnight on Sunday, October 13th and will remain closed until late November. White said the reason for the closure is because work crews will be removing an old wooden bridge and replacing it with a new concrete bridge.
