A Corrigan woman has received a 45-year prison sentence for the July 26th, 2022, murder of her husband. Polk County Today is reporting that Samantha Stewart, who is now 32, called Corrigan Police and claimed that an intruder had shot her husband, Jeffery Stewart. However, police said at the time that her story was just not adding up. During the course of the investigation, police said the wife confessed to killing the husband and the reason was because she was having an online affair with someone else. Meanwhile a plea agreement was worked out between the Polk County District Attorney’s Office and Samantha Stewart, a 45-year sentence for a guilty plea, which she entered on Wednesday.
