COLFAX, La. (KALB) - The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, in coordination with the Colfax Police Department, arrested a man on April 14 following a violent incident that happened back on December 2, 2024, on Eleanor Street in Colfax.
Colfax PD said Kendarius Nelson was wanted in connection with a drive-by shooting. He was located in Ball at the time of his arrest.
Nelson was arrested and charged with:
- Criminal conspiracy (7 counts)
- Assault by drive-by shooting (7 counts)
- Attempted second-degree murder (7 counts)
- Aggravated criminal damage to property
- Simple criminal damage to property
Bond was set at $250,000
Nelson also had additional warrants through Grant Parish for contempt of court and carrying a firearm on school property. During his arrest, he had two new charges of resisting an officer.
Nelson was transported to the Rapides Parish Jail for booking.
