NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - A child was airlifted following a medical incident near Natchitoches.
On April 6, around 8 p.m., the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office said deputies and personnel from Natchitoches Regional Medical Center were dispatched to a medical emergency involving a child in the Oak Grove area.
Medical personnel arrived on scene, assessed the child and requested air medical support for transport, as requested by the family. Air Evac Lifeteam #160 responded and landed at a landing zone established by deputies in the Oak Grove area.
The child was then airlifted to a regional trauma center for treatment.
No further details are being released.
