An elderly woman suffered injuries after she fell out of a boat on Wednesday afternoon at Rattlesnake Island on Lake Sam Rayburn. Information pieced together from Lake Rayburn Fire Chief Brett Holloway and Firefighter Kevin Holloway indicated that the lady had a dislocated knee and possibly a broken hip. An ambulance crew from Allegiance EMS had to be ferried by boat to reach the woman on the island, and after she was brought by boat to Twin Dikes boat ramp, she was transported by ambulance to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment. The name and age of the lady was not available.
