A Jasper woman underwent hospital treatment for the injuries she received when the car she was driving left the roadway and crashed into the wall at Jasper Junior High School. Local police, fire and other emergency crews were dispatched to the area at the intersection of College and 4th Streets shortly before 4:00 on Saturday morning when it was reported that the crash had occurred. A complete report has not been issued by police but officers at the scene said it appeared that Kurston Woods was headed south on 4th street in an early model Nissan Sedan, when she for some unknown reason failed to stop at the stop sign, crossed over College Street and went down a ramp before crashing into the wall of the school. Jasper Firemen and other personnel were quick to arrive at the scene and within a short time the firefighters and workers from Allegiance EMS had rescued Woods from the vehicle, before transporting her by ambulance to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital, where she was treated for what was said to be only minor injuries.
