A cake auction on Thursday raised $2,450.00 for the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department. The money will be used for equipment and other expenses.
The top seller was a banana pudding, made by former Jasper City Manager Denise Kelly, and it sold for $400.00 to Leon Clark, owner of Jasper Xxon Towing & Recovery.
The bidder who spent the most money was Rural Pipe & Supply in Jasper. They spent $575.00 on three cakes.
