SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) — The Caddo coroner’s office has released the names of the man and woman who were found shot dead early Wednesday (March 13) inside a parked, running car along St. Vincent Avenue in Shreveport. They are 30-year-old Erica Pitts and 28-year-old Tavarae Loneman, both of Shreveport. The discovery was made shortly after midnight in a lot at St. Vincent at Clanton Street. That’s in the city’s Caddo Heights neighborhood. Both had been shot numerous times and were pronounced dead at the scene at 12:21 a.m., the coroner’s office reports. It was 12:20 a.m. when Shreveport police responded to a report of a shooting in the 5600 block of St. Vincent. That’s where officers found the car stopped off the roadway in the grass. The woman was in the driver’s seat and he was in the passenger seat. Their deaths mark the 14th and 15th homicides in Shreveport and Caddo Parish to date in 2024. No arrest has been made.
