Two Northwest Louisiana parishes now have burn bans in place because of dry conditions and no significant rainfall chances in the long-range forecast.
The Caddo Fire Chiefs Association and the DeSoto Parish Police Jury said in separate announcements today no outside burning is permitted.
KTBS Chief Meteorologist Patrick Dennis said drought conditions in the area are getting worse. The outlook for rain is isn't that great over the next two weeks, he said.
