Texas Department of Public Safety State Troopers arrested a Buna man on Saturday after it was discovered that he had multiple warrants for human trafficking. The warrants were issued in Kinney County, which is on the Texas-Mexico border. The county seat is Brackettville, which is 110 miles west of San Antonio. According to DPS Sergeant Shana Clark, Joshua Kelly, 30, had six warrants for felony charges of Smuggling of Persons, and one warrant for a felony charge of Evading Arrest with a Vehicle. Sergeant Clark said a trooper stopped a car for a traffic violation shortly after 5:00pm on Highway 96, just south of Farm to Market Road 1004, and Kelly was a passenger in the vehicle. He was booked into the Jasper County Jail, and now awaits further action from authorities in Kinney County.
