A Jasper County deputy arrested a Buna man and woman on drug charges Wednesday evening.
According to the report, the deputy made a traffic stop on Farm to Market Road 1131 in Evadale and inside the vehicle he found methamphetamine.
The report said that he placed the passenger into custody. She was identified as 42-year-old Chassity McGurk.
However, the report said that the driver, 43-year-old Joshua Stimits, began resisting arrest and someone who saw the deputy struggling with the man stopped and helped him wrestle Stimits into custody.
Both were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Stimits was also charged with Resisting Arrest.
