Buna man accused of shooting at building during argument

JASPER COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A Buna man was arrested Sunday night after police say he shot at a building during an argument.

According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 9000 block of FM 1004 West on reports of a disturbance and gunfire in the area.

When deputies arrived they determined Jerrell Wayne Stanley, 54, of Buna had gotten into a verbal argument with the victims and left before returning with a gun and shooting in the direction of a building, hitting a boat trailer. Deputies also discovered Stanley was a convicted felon.

Stanley was arrested on charges of deadly conduct and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and booked into the Jasper County Jail.
