Officers with the Jasper County Sheriff's Department say a man in Buna has been arrested following a bizarre series of events that are alleged to have occurred at a home on County Road 725.
Officers said their involvement began on at about 2:00 on Friday afternoon when they received a report that a man had broken into a home and assaulted an individual. Witnesses told deputies that Chiorean "Chiko" Dill 42, of Buna entered the home with a hammer and injured the man by pushing and shoving him.
Dill was placed under arrest and booked on the charges of Burglary of a Habitation-Assault and Criminal Trespass and was taken to the Jasper County Jail where he was at last word still being held.
Deputies said the charge of Criminal Trespass stemmed from the fact that prior to the incident on Friday Dill had already been served with an order telling him to stay away from the home.
There is no word on the victim or the extent of his injuries.
