The Jasper County Sheriff's Office confirms to KFDM/FOX 4, a man and woman are in custody tonight in relation to a murder in Jasper County in December 2018.
As first reported by our news partners at KJAS Radio, 22-year-old Justin DeBourgeois and 26-year-old Andrea Monique Brumley, both of Jasper, are facing charges related to the murder of Christopher Spikes. Investigators continue to search for a third person in the case.
Spikes body was found in a wooded area north of Jasper on December 7, 2018 with a gunshot wound to the head.

There has been a major development in the Christopher Spikes murder case. Jasper County District Attorney Anne Pickle said on Friday that two people have been arrested and another is being sought in direct relation to the murder.
The body of Spikes, who was 22-years-old, was found on December 7th, 2018 in a wooded area off of Hi Truitt Road just north of Jasper, and an autopsy revealed that he died of a gunshot wound to the head.
According to Pickle, 22-year-old Justin DeBourgeois and 26-year-old Andrea Monique Brumley, both of Jasper, were arrested on Thursday, while deputies continue to seek a third person whose name has not yet been released.
Pickle said that DeBourgeois and Brumley have been charged with failure to report a felony with serious bodily injury or death, deadly conduct, and engaging in organized criminal activity, and the third person will also face those same charges.
