BPSO Report One Arrest, One Suspect Still Evading Police in Ragley Burglaries

In February BPSO began investigating a burglary and theft that had occurred at an unoccupied residence in Ragley, LA.

It was learned that a significant amount of property had been stolen from the residence, beginning in November of 2021. During the investigation, surveillance equipment was installed at the location. On May 11th, two individuals were captured, on camera, committing a burglary during the early morning hours.

The surveillance equipment was stolen during the commission of the burglary. Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office release photos of the suspects on their Facebook page asking the public for identification. The community was able to provide names of potential suspects, assisting with identifying Walter Terrell Collins, of Calcasieu Parish, and Jacob Holland, of Allen Parish.

Search warrants were executed at Collin's residence with the assistance of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office. During the search the surveillance equipment belonging to BPSO and approximately $18,000 of property, stolen from the residence in Ragley, was recovered. A stolen enclosed utility trailer, reported stolen in Calcasieu Parish, was also recovered at the residence. Walter Terrell Collins was arrested by BPSO for one count of burglary and one count of theft for the burglary committed in May, as well as one count of burglary and one count of theft $5,000-$25,000 for the previously reported burglary and theft at the same location. Collins was also arrested and charged by CPSO for crimes committed in Calcasieu Parish.

Jacob Holland is currently evading law enforcement and has active arrest warrants for multiple counts of burglary and theft in Beauregard Parish.
